Paul “The Vulture” Singer Targets Hyundai

Greg Palast

While Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un are playing double-or-nothing with the survival of Koreans, Trump’s billionaire sugar-daddy is taking advantage of political upheaval to attempt a seizure of one South Korea's major employers: Hyundai Motor. Paul Singer, known as The Vulture, is mounting an attack on the auto-maker known for providing life-time union-wage employment for workers. Putting worker welfare on a par with profits infuriates Singer. He sees them as ...more

The “Steele Dossier” on… Me
Why the Nunes Memo should scare you

Greg Palast  for Truthout

Progressives should not be cheerleaders for the FBI when it shaves the truth, even if the bureau is now portrayed as Donald Trump's enemy. This is, after all, the FBI infamous for the wiretap of Martin Luther King Jr., the broader COINTELPRO operation, and, recently, smearing antiwar and environmental activists with claims of Russian influence.

Like it or not, that creepy little GOP shill Rep. Devin Nunes is stating a fact when he writes that FBI agents failed to tell the ...more

The Nunes Memo And The Regressive Progressive Rhetoric It Spawned

Greg Palast

By Greg Palast with Dennis J. Bernstein

When the FBI applied to the rubber-stamp FISA court for a warrant to surveil Trump associate Carter Page they were more than a little economical with the truth. Basing their warrant request, in part, on information contained in the now-infamous Fusion GPS dossier, they omitted to mention that …more

Nunes Memo Reveals True Threat To Civil Liberties

Greg Palast

The FBI should have disclosed to the court that the Steele dossier was originally paid for by Paul "The Vulture" Singer — who has a record of creating what James Comey himself calls "salacious and unverifiable" files on his enemies.

I know, Singer created a dossier on me.
Apparently, it claimed fantastical sex and ethics nonsense — sorry, no peeing Russian prostitutes — that he peddled to news media to destroy me. The Vulture’s toady called BBC to tell my ...more

The Rubio/Romney Vulture Connection

Greg Palast

HuffPo reports that former Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney will endorse Senator Marco Rubio. Why? The answer is: the financier known as The Vulture, Paul Singer—donor Number One to the GOP—and top sugar daddy to the Rubio campaign.

Back in 2012, we broke The Nation cover story exposing how Singer, Mitt Romney’s finance chair, secretly stuffed the “blind trust” of Ann Romney with up to $115 million.  For $115 million, a politician will wash your car — with his tongue.  So, of course, Mrs. Romney’s husband will endorse the Vulture’s choice. Blind trust=blind endorsement.
