Another veiled anti-semetic law. I don't think they have heard the last of this.

Yes, in the horsetrade that is referred to by our media as the so-called parliamentary 'washup' before the dissolution pending our election, the anti vulture bill was passed. This was brought to my attention by our nightly Newsnight where anchor Jeremy Paxman seemed to insinuate that it was a bill raised in parliament almost as a direct result of a newsnight investigative report.

Thinking about this and on reflection I've decided that he is right. I Know that Newsnight is watched by a great many of our parliamentairians and it was a great report. So by my calculation this means that a piece of legilation that promises to have a positive effect on the lives of very many was passed in the British parliament as a result of the intrepid reporting of one single and dogged journalist, Greg Palast. There can be very few instances,if any, of this type of event before. Is there a prize for this sort of thing? There should be. Brilliant! Amazing!

I am still puzzled as to how the 'vultures' could ever have chased these debts if the debts themselves were allegedly cancelled with great fanfare by first world nations some years ago. If I lend you ten bucks and then decide I don't want the money back, no one else can collect it from you on my behalf. Personally I think that the first world polititians that announced to the world they were doing this knew very well that they were not doing any such thing and just hoped we wouldn't notice and I think that the awful vulture types will still have to be watched.

Way to go.

PS. Greg, if you get bored with journalism have you thought of coming here and standing as a member of parliament. We could do with some integity - there's still time.
