The Palast Investigative Fund, Palast Productions, Creative Commons, Alternative Tentacles Records, and Air America Radio are proud to present the Armed Madhouse Remix Contest.
The Palast Investigative Fund is offering tracks from the audio book by Greg Palast, “Armed Madhouse” online under a Creative Commons BY-NC license, so that music producers all over the world can easily create remixes from the NY Times bestseller’s audio book.
All eligible entries will compete against each other, and will be voted on by the public. The top 5 remixes will win prize-packages - including being featured on Greg’s next spoken-word CD with Alternative Tentacles Records.

TFYQA / White Noise is the musical & visual alter ego of J.F.William & Serge Laporte. Both were floored by the information found in Greg Palast’s “The Best Democracy Money Can Buy”. How to Participate
Remixers
If you’re into sampling, remixing and mash-ups grab the tracks for download, create your own remix from any of the tracks, and then email us your finished mp3 (or email us a link to download your mp3), and we’ll add it to the GregPalast.com remix tape for others to vote on.
You have until October 23rd 2006 to submit your track and all voting will conclude on October 30th 2006. The top 5 winners will be announced Friday, November 3rd 2006.
Participation in the contest is totally free. There are 19 tracks to choose from - covering material from each chapter in Armed Madhouse and include a sample of all of our contributing readers.
Beginners
If you’d like to find out more about creating your own remixes check out the wiki guide, get started on your’s today, and submit it to www.GregPalast.com to include in the on-going mixtape.
Podcasters, directors and music lovers
Feel free to take any tracks from our mixtape, a compliation of remixed audio tracks submitted to us, and use it in your podcasts or upcoming productions. Browse the mixtape on this site to hear some of the great remixes people have built from sampling the audio tracks on this site, all licensed for use under Creative Commons license.

Prizes
After all eligible entries have been received, and all voting is completed, the top five winners will be announced. The producers of the winning remixes will receive a prize package courtesy of Alternative Tentacles Records, Palast Productions, Evil Twin Booking and Air America Radio. The top five winners will also be featured on the next Greg Palast spoken word cd on Alternative Tentacles records.
