I'd first read "The Best Democracy..." many years ago. Noone had heard of you... not as many as should know your name now... but, you were inspirational. When I'd learned @ Iraq violating OPEC regs by selling petroleum for the Euro in 2000, I'd a nasty suspicion after 9/11. At a previous job @ KU, I'd worked with Brazilians and plenty of petroleum geologists. The pipeline that Haliburton distributary was paid > $8 Billion to build through Afghanistan made me think... it must be simple to watch tankers leaving port, but what about messy black stuff pumped out of sight out of mind?
